Welcome to the Duval County Value Adjustment Board (VAB)

The filing deadline in Duval County for most Value Adjustment Board petitions was Tuesday, September 5, 2023.  The deadline was listed on your Notice of Proposed Taxes (“TRIM” Notice) on the bottom right-hand corner.  The VAB does not accept post-marked petitions as on time.  Any petitions filed after Tuesday, September 5, 2023, will be considered late-filed petitions and must be either hand delivered or mailed in to the VAB office with the required “Good Cause” explanation and verifiable documentation.  Online filing is not available for late-filed petitions.  The VAB office address for hand-delivered or mailed petitions is:  117 West Duval Street, Suite 305, Jacksonville, FL  32202.

Important:  The deadline for filing 2023 VAB petitions will be provided on the bottom right hand corner of the TRIM notice from the Property Appraiser’s Office.

  • The filing fee for each Duval County VAB petition filed, regardless of filing method, is $15.00 per parcel, unless otherwise exempt or except as stated below.
